We are a library, not a foundry

LettersFonts does not create, sell or own the fonts in its catalogue. The library is built by its community: members upload typefaces they have made or found, along with the licence and credit information you see on each font's page. We host and organise those files so they are easy to discover.

Because of that, the responsibility for how a font may be used rests with the font's original designer and licence, not with us.

Licence information is provided “as is”

We display the licence details supplied with each font as accurately as we can, but we cannot guarantee that they are complete, current or correct. A font marked as free may still carry conditions, and licence terms can change at the source.

Before you use any font — especially in commercial, branding or paid work — read the licence on its page and, where the terms are unclear, confirm them with the original designer. When in doubt, our licensing guide explains the common licence types and what they allow.

No warranty

LettersFonts, its content and its downloads are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that files are free of errors or defects, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that a font is fit for a particular purpose. You download and use fonts at your own risk.

Our guides and other editorial content are provided for general information. We test our instructions and aim to keep them accurate, but operating systems, browsers and software change, and your results may differ. This content is not professional, legal or licensing advice.

Fonts, designer names, foundry names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification only. Where we link to external sites, we are not responsible for their content, policies or availability. A link is not an endorsement.
